Nuneham Courtenay Village Hall News Oct 20

Nuneham Courtenay Village Hall News

As the situation is ever changing in regard to Covid, we have taken the decision not to organise a season of activities only to cancel them later.  We are using this time to organise a series of necessary repairs to the hall, to ensure its upkeep.  Brian is also clearing away the debris left lying around the hall by other groups, to make it a nicer area for all.

Anyone wishing to hire the hall should contact June as normal on OX 343 371.  Each enquiry will be answered on a case by case basis, adhering to the government advice. Please note that it may take a bit of time to get back to you, as nothing is completely straight forward right now and advice is still changing constantly.

Yoga

Yoga is continuing to meet weekly on a Monday.  Please note the details on the Baldons website are wrong.  You can contact me on OX343459, the village WhatsApp group or jenny@datadaysolutions.com if you wish to join in.  As an organised fitness activity we are exempt from the current “rule of 6.”  We do need to abide by Covid-safe numbers however.

Please do get in touch if you want to come along and give it a try.  At this time we are not meeting in the village hall so the location changes depending literally on the weather.

Bread and Flour Deliveries

The need for bread and flour deliveries has tailed off.  However, our friends at the Natural Bread Company are going to supply Fallow and Fields, the deli by the village hall.  Do contact them if you wish to order your normal bread, flour, eggs, and pastries on 07825 818870.

Historic Church

Most of you will know of Old All Saints Church located in the grounds of the Global Retreat Centre.  This is still a consecrated church looked after by the Historic Churches Conservation Trust.  They have been in contact to ask if we could form a group of people willing to help look after the church.  This will really just involve a small group meeting to give the church a monthly clean and reporting any issues.  The idea is to make this a social time, with a pool of people to call upon, so that no one needs to commit to doing every session but to join in when you are able and perhaps have a tea or coffee afterwards.  If you are interested in finding out more, please contact me on OX 343459 or jenny@datadaysolutions.com
