The new plan has the following features:

• A doubling of the number of houses in South Oxfordshire.
• Most of the new housing is intended to be built on the Green Belt.
• The Baldons is particularly affected by the re-emergence of the proposal to build several thousand houses between Grenoble Road and the Baldons, as well as at Berensfield.
• These housing proposals also seem aimed at attracting the Oxford to Cambridge Expressway south of Oxford, which would mean a dual carriageway between the Baldons and the edge of Oxford. 

Elizabeth Gillespie, your local Councillor, has been suspended by the Conservative Party for voicing her concerns over the proposals.
